Buying and shipping a car across canada!

hey guys, im calling on fellow gtrc'rs to help me with a few concerns and questions about shipping a vehicle across canada.
Im looking at purchasing a gtr from another member here and he is located across the country, im deciding if it will work better for me to fly there and drive back or fly there, ship the car and fly back. For the record, it appears as of right now its going to be better for my schedule to ship the car back rather than drive it (although that would be an experience of a lifetime)

for sake of details it will be from montreal to bc (anywhere in bc)

So im wondering if anyone here could recommend a good shipping service and if i could get some testimonials from people that have shipped their cars across canada.
damages, stolen items, on time delivery etc....

Also if anyone can give me a price range they've paid so i know what to expect when i start contacting said shipping services. so far with a search ive found tfx international, which i find tempting, but other than that i haven't looked further past them

As a secondary question, can anyone provide me any details of what is involved with the difference in safety and reg between quebec and bc and what i need to arrange for when the car is delivered in order to drive it home or to a shop. such as obtaining a permit. do i need to insure it in quebec first and then swap when it gets to bc? bah soo much to do, with so little time. Looking at arranging all of this for the last week of july.

    PLEASE HELP ME FRIENDS! thanks.

There are only 2 major shipping companies,I used searail to get my car out to Burnaby. It would have been easier and faster for you to google and call the shipping company for a price. They can give you a exact quote withing a few minutes. Like anything else that we spend money on you are going to get mixed reviews as some people experiences arent always as humble as others. Bottom line is every transport company is FULLY insured, if they scratch your car, break a window, rip the seat, dent the door, pop a tire, or it falls of the truck you are covered - no charge. I know this for a fact because when my car got to ztune in Burnaby they were unloading it off the truck and they ripped the bumper off it split so couldnt be repaired. I phone the customer service dept. and that day they had found, payed for and organised a brand new bumper to be shipped to the paint shop where it was painted an fitted to my car.

If you phone your local license issuer they will also be able to provide you with the details you need regarding transport and insurance required to get your car home.
