    Good shop in Lower Mainland

So my car is having a lot of issues recently and since ztune is closed and I went there to get all my work done I'm kind of at a loss here.

Anyone know a good shop to go to in the Vancouver area? I'm just get a diagnostic about my idling and startup problem and a price quote and possibly getting it done there. Nothing really serious (I hope?) but I still want a reputable shop.

    Thanks in advance.

well depending on how long you can wait, there is http://www.monkeynutz.ca/. they are the techs from ztune that have started their own shop, not to sure when they are opening.

also there is forcefed performance, ive gone there a couple times now, and have had nothing but a good experience. hell marko builds some of the fastest imports in BC.

no personal experience, but ive herd good things about garage 5 as well.

What do you need done? What issues?

I don't mind helping out fellow GTRC'rs with car problems now and then....

I've heard very mixed things about Force Fed, never heard of garage 5.

and yeah I will probably just wait until Monkeynutz opens. It's supposed to be July 1st so I'll have to get in there fast.

    @falcon;

I have a retarded idling issue, it won't turn over on the first 2-3 tries, I have to mash on the gas for it to turn over, and then it idles really rough. A couple times when rolling up to a red light the car will just die.

It started after getting ecu socketed, 450cc injectors, a 255 lph fuel pump and a dyno tune.

After reading a couple threads on the same issue Skym has said it could be: "startup tables on ECU, CAS, sticky / faulty IACV"

I have no idea how/a way of testing the ICAV myself but a couple people I've talked to have said that would probably pretty likely.

If it's a Nistune issue, you best bet is to wait for the former Ztune guys since they are the ones that deal with it.

If it was just a regular car problem I could help you out but I'm useless whn it comes to tuning.

I'm not sure if it's the tune or not

I don't really know how to check the IACV but looking around it seems to be the likely source.

It's the squareish thing on the back of the manifold. Pull it off and clean all the carbon out of it.

If you want to drive to my house tommorow around 7PM I can take a look at it. I live in Fleetwood.
