I heard a year ago that it was to be terminated, but now apparently it's here to stay again.

Damnit, so I'll have to put my cat back on eventually pain in the ass.

edit: they wont get rid of something that's so profitable for them. It's never been about the enviornment

I passed AC with headers, cam, straight pipes, and no cats. Air quality control, my ass.

Aircare is a pretty huge sham, its pretty easy to pass. One time me and a friend passed a 85' ford bronco with a dead cylinder and no exhaust past the cat. We ended up using 6" interior heating/vent plumbing that extends like a slinky. We just mashed it onto the cat and hung it by a coat hanger at the bumper. The thing leaked like a faucet.

I've never failed aircare using this method. Put a few liters of Methyl Hydrate in your gas, and use 94oct gas. loosen all the bolts along the exhaust so there is gaps open all along it. Then drive the car for 20-30mins and take it to aircare. Your going to be running a cleaner from your gas mixture, but more than 50% of the exhaust wont even make it to the reader lol.

^I've heard theories that by using a higher quality gas out of the ordinary will clean out your engine and cause more crap to come out. Better off to stick to the gas you usually use when doing your test.
