    Tool Cabinets

I'm shopping around for a good tool cabinet/chest. Where are some good deals locally? Or even out of the states w/ shipping if it's a good deal. MUST be ball bearing... Not looking to spend huge dollars since it's just weekend wrenching... say sub $500 if possible (I know I've seen stuff around that price before with ball bearings).

Looking for a bottom and top... say 10-11 drawers total.

    Snap On Porn just because

I picked up my cabinet at a Home Depot. It's a Husky 6 drawer, ball bearing sliders and casters. They go on sale and have limited stock (30 or so the guy told me) and it's cheap, like $150-200.

I have a Matco 4s at work. Just a bottom box, it has a nice laminate card covering the top that I use essentially as a work bench. I don't baby my box like some people do. It's a tool, not an accessory.

That's about double your price range though. Costco around here has a pretty cool box for fairly cheap, I'm sure you could find something at Crappy Tire too.

Snap-On boxes are way overrated and way, way, way over priced. All the other techs at my shop own Snap-On boxes, and none of them could take the same abuse that my box can. I sit on my drawers, and hammer things on it, it takes every bit of abuse and it doesn't look at all worse for wear.

Everyone at my shop uses Snap-On boxes, other than one. It is BB and made by CarQuest, fairly similar in size to the one in your picture. I dont know how much it was, but I assume it wasnt as expensive as the Snap-On/MAC stuff

Mine was over $2000, but I had a very old (1980's) Snap-On single bay top + bottom that I traded in. Ended up only paying just over $1000. That single bottom double bay box holds all the tools I own and I've still got room for more yet. A comparable Snap-On would probably run close to $4000. Some tools are well worth buying Snap-On, but you have to be careful, a lot of it is overpriced and not a whole lot better than the cheaper competition.
