    Seymour run

With the new speeding and impoundment laws, you may want to think twice about speeding up Seymour and Cypress.

Glad it wasn't a RHD or people would be calling for their ban since RHD vehicles are obviously dangerous... like in Ottawa.

But if they gave us proper local tracks, their revenue streams would dry up slightly. They just can't be having any of that.

Did they actually get clocked speeding? Or did the police just roll up to them at the top of the mountain and get them there? I'm still a bit "UNNNNGH" about police having the power of judge, jury and executioner when it comes to taking private property from its rightful owner at the drop of a hat.

canada has low police hassles for import cars compared to other countries so dont complain.
The no radar thing is crap but police can impound a car upon suspicion of street racing. But in this case being obviously over the speed limit (200km/h) there is no radar needed. Excessive speed with addition of street racing is an impound and loss of licence offence.

Impounding and fines mean nothing to these two kids, and likely the rest of their families.

Impounding the cars is a waste of money; catch someone speeding like that and it should be 1 month jail time first offence. No amount of money will make jail time a cake walk. In fact, big money rich kids dropped in the middle of a bunch of criminals who are below the poverty line and hating on kids like them would almost be perfect harmony. The parents would also suffer watching their manicured teens heading to the slammer for a few weeks. My parents just moved into a very posh neighborhood in West Van and I see stupid kids like this every time I go visit them. It's sad my 11 year old sister is going to grow-up surrounded by these pukes.

Coming from the guy who's written-off two Skylines, the first of which happened while driving in a similar fashion to the moron in Toronto that just orphaned 3 children (only being a **** to illustrate a point). We've all done similar things to what the guy in Toronto did, but got away lucky. We were all (and some still are) young and naive at some point. I completely agree that there should be way more tracks open to the public in Vancouver. Hell, I'm excited to go east because there's way more tracks out there, where dipshit in TO is from. That being said it does not give everyone permission to drive like a moron on public roads, and wreck-less driving will still take innocent lives like what happened last week in Toronto where there is much more access to closed tracks.

Everyone makes mistakes; fair enough. We just have a terrible time forcing people to learn from them. We've all made mistakes and had to learn from them. The guy in TO learned as well, but he learned far too late, and now has to pay the same price (albeit higher). These two shitheads that raced up Seymour have likely learned **** all from this experience. $1000 to them is like our lunch money to us.

Seems like there was non radar mentioned, no radar challenge that **** and get them to reimburse all the funds
You're an idiot for supporting their actions and hoping they get away with it. It's funny how opinions change when no one gets hurt. I hope next time you do a Seymour run you get rear-ending by one of these fucks. We'll see what your opinion on the matter is then.
