Island Japanese Import Meet Tonight

Timmies at Save On Foods Shopping Center. We are trying to get out some of the island Japanese Import owners. Much like the Classic Cars do out in Colwood every Friday night, it would be nice to have a 'mixed' meet on Friday's at timmies. I would like to see as many cars as possible. We can make this a weekly or bi-weekly meet.

Anyone else interested? I am extending the invite to all the clubs (240, 8th civic, S2Kca, S2Ki, NSXPrime, WRX, Mazda, Nissan, Acura). Lets grow this to a great event. These are the forums I belong to, if anyone knows of others please contact them.

i had the cop flash the lights on as i pulled in tonight lol.. didnt like the little 2nd gear pull / blow off chirp before turning into the parking lot.. I think he was just bored and wanted to pull someone over for nothing lol no tickets or warnings just talked to me about not doing that next time i come to tims lol.. didnt really do much wrong other then cross the 3 lanes in 1 swoop with my signal on, he said i am supposed to make each lane change seperate.. not just one big lane change accross three lanes... pff whatever the road was empty lol. and i didnt even really speed... 10 kmh - 50 ish kmh pretty fast then let the SSQV's chirp and then pulled into the parking lot :\

I think someone else had the cops follow them in so maybe u didnt see me lol. I didnt show up untill about 10 after 10

Nope wasn't you I was gone by then. This was early say around 8:30. This one was silver with what looked like Ferrari rims (wide 5 star). They also had the cop SUV in the parking lot for a while. Sorry I missed you.

Going to try and revive the old meets on Friday nights. Not make is such a revscene thing as much as a JDM thing.

Ahhh that would have been Ethan ... A gunmetal GTR with those wide 5 star wheels , he had the cops follow him in aswell.

Ya they came into the lot with lights on and pulled right up behind him as he parked..., gave him a speech then left.

haha thats what i got... a speech about not crossing 3 lanes in 1 shot even tho i signaled apparently u cant just cross more then 1 lane at a time. and he also accused me of speeding and i told him i didnt exceed 50 km then he responded by saying "not even by 1 or 2 km/h?" i said "well maybe i was doin 52 or 53 km/h but not everyones speedometers are 100% accurate" lol no tickets or warnings... just a little speech

The location has changed.

For those of you interested, we have been meeting up with some other car groups on Thursday evenings at the Starbucks over on Jacklin and Rex Road, behind the Westshore Mall. This is in an attempt to get a Japanese Import group going. Most of the car clubs are small and meets are not working out. Some of us want to bring together some of the groups into one larger Japanese Import meet. The idea here being like the Hot Rods or the Classic Car clubs where they gather quite a crowd (owners and enthusiasts alike).

Last week we had out the WRX's, some S2000's, and a G35. Each week we hope to grow it a bit larger and to that end I am inviting out the GTR's to come out and be part of the meet. Hopefully as summer comes around we can get a good size showing out and perhaps move the meet to a location where people that love Japanese Imports and the work that we have all done to our cars, can come out and enjoy them as we do.

WRX's show up pretty early around 6:30pm and we roll in around 7:00pm. Last meet we hung around till about 9:00pm. Please come out if you can make it. Be nice to have some skylines show up.

Last week we had representation from the WRX's, S2000's, G35, 350z, 510's, and 240sx's. Each week it is getting bigger. Hopefully by the time the warm weather shows up we can have this built into a large event with lots of island participation. Still waiting for a Skyline though. I know of at least 4 out in that area..., come on and stop by. PS: purchase your hot chocolate or coffee over at Tim Hortons in WestShore Mall lot before coming over..., Starbucks is $$$..., lol

Again the meet is Thursday evenings from 6:30 till around 9:00pm, come drop by if you can.
