I am by no means an expert, just thought this would be a common mod that people would be doing and pictures are always helpful. I dont know if this is the best way to do this, but it was easy and took me maybe 20 mins.
Needed:
Boost Gauge with line.
"T" splice
Something sharp
Tape
Ok so first you need to find the Vac line going to the stock boost gauge. Then cut it and throw your T splice in so that you still have your stock line working. Here it is on the RB20
Then you want to run the line from the new gauge to the inside compartment somehow. Depending on where you mount it there may be a better place to run the line, but here is very easy to access.
Right in the corner there is a small gromet. Theres a little black thing to remove to see it. Getting the line through this is a pain, I used a coat hanger which made it easy.
Next you want to pull it through and under the dash. If you take off this side panel here you will be able to pull it through no problem. You can see I cut a bit of the carpet to get it out of the way.
once you pull it through you can pull it under the dash and behind the center console. Depending on where you want to mount the gauge is going to decide what you do next. I put mine where my heater controls where, so I took them and the stereo out and pulled it through here
At this point I would hook the line up to the gauge and start the car up and check for leaks. It should read about 10-15hg at idle, and go to 0 when you rev it in nutral. Double check the T splice for leaks because thats where they will be. Then its just a matter of mounting the gauge.
Then just hook up a power line if you want it lighted. You can wire it too your headlights switch or make a seperate switch if you only want it on at night.
