Hi, I know this has been answered before, but they seem to be all from a while ago like 2005. So is it still difficult finding parts (I live in BC) and if they are found are they expensive? I also keep on hearing about this inspection when a car is imported. If I buy a Skyline that has already been registered, inspected, etc is it just like any other car? Thanks

Parts are no problem to get, we can help you along with the other forum sponsors as well. We can literally get anything for the car.
As for pricing, it all depends on your budget I suppose. I've had customers freak out about having to spend $20 on an OEM rad hose, which seems more than reasonable to me, and I've had customers spend $7,000 on a pair of seats without hesitation.
Yes, Skylines (especially GT-Rs) tend to be more expensive to maintain than your average car, but they are sports cars.
Just compare them with Corvettes. You can spend lots of money for some parts, or next to nothing for others.
Whatever you end up buying, just make sure it's decent to begin with and you will have a minimum of headaches and expenses.
I've seen too many people buy cheap Skylines and think they are getting a great deal, then end up dumping piles of money into them just to get them running. Do yourself a favour and spend the little extra to get something in good shape.RightDrive Inc. Parts Manager

Like Daryl said make sure you get one in good shape. I spent several months sourcing mine out through auction and paid a little more before pulling the trigger four years ago and it pays dividends in the long run.. Knock on wood.Justin
