have you seen the top secret supra that smokey nagata built for 400km/h??? Its got a bad ass V-12 which i believe is from a toyota crown or something and i think its basically 2 2jzs mated together. They put a lot of R+D into aerodynamics and suspension for this feat. Not to mention it has around 1000 HP. Anyways, My near-stock Gts-T can reach speeds of 265km/h or so.

So you're telling me a stock GTR with the stock 8000 RPM redline will be able to hit 193 MPH, although just get their very slowly because it doesn't have much horsepower?.......GTRCANADA.COM

Tokes pretty much summed it up in the last post of the first page but here is an over-simplification: if the car is drag limited in the top end (i.e. more RPMs left on the tach but no acceleration), more power will let you go faster. If you're limited by RPMs (i.e. the car was still pulling hard but no more RPMs left on the tach) you need taller gears. Doesn't anyone else play around with Forza or Gran Turismo?
That being said, with ~350hp at the wheels, you should probably be able to go over 260 with enough road, but that's a pretty long straightaway on a track...
