I have never heard of any good importer east of Alberta..

Your best bet is to use a Exporter in Japan, and then deal with the paperwork yourself..

or just deal with a trusted Importer from over here out west.

my concern is putting up a considerable sum of money based on poor quality photos taken in japan. moreover, pics taken carefuly to mask defects of the vehicle (ie. interior shots avoiding the ever notoriously worn driver seat). there is just no way of telling the true condition of the vehicle unless you look at it yourself. if it does not meet my expectations, then what? i have to absorb the loss which i cannot do. and thats only the cosmetic aspect. who knows what the mech condition is. its just too much risk on my part.

i am not at all looking for a perfect car - that would be completely unrealistic. but what i do expect is to be aware of all of the major defects before buying. i just don't like surprises.

but you're right. it does come down to trust and how much effort they are willing to put in to ensure things are done right. unfortunately, my concern is effort may change over time or after a deposit is given. lol

When i bought my First car from Japan.. i had no idea.. it was a small company in japan i was dealing with that not longer exisits..

I just decided i was going to do it..

sent the money and waited..

a month later hello.. Skyline..

Never looked back.

hes knows his stuff and to date (6 years) is one of the most impressive guys ive met in the industry


hes a registered dealer who does his own importing (only sells rhd)
all cars are backed with a full powertrain warranty from ensurall (1 year with option to buy 3)
full fluid change when car arrives
he cert's it, e-test's it, gets your plates and stickers, and you drive off into the sunset

hes a member on the omhvic (sp?) and speaks on behalf of rhd vehicle


all his cars are backed by warranty because he only looks at green-lit auctions (pre-inspected auctions) and then even after that the cars picked by the client are double inspected by his guys in japan.
if it gets all yay's, then it comes over.
he is very good with his customers. the most prompt person i've dealt wit in a long time.

His business is just starting to take off as its only a year old, but believe me, it will be big.

i would trust him to sell my grandmother a car
