  • so I went out to my driveway today and...

    my car was gone
    fantastic.

however, it was not my gtr, nor my gtst
    Twas my mazda 929.
Not so bad. But I have a hunch. I have been purposely parking my mazda behind my gtst every night in an effort to keep thiefs from trying to get to it.
There may be a possibility that they jacked the mazda to come back another night and go for the skyline
sooooo...today I went out and bought 2 clubs. One that hooks my steering wheel to my pedal of choice. wheel wont turn, and you cant use the pedal, obviously. I also bought a conventional club to slap on there too just for the heck of it.
Then I popped the hood before I parked it and pulled out the ingnition fuse.
on top of that there is always the black widow alarm.

    I think she'll be ok.

edit: Musn't for get the big club sitting next to my banister on the way out

I want to see a thief try cutting into the wheel to remove the club. Took my wheel off to get it reworked a few months ago. There is enough steel in that thing to be a good weapon in a fight.

They tried it on mine, they gave up a third of the way through the steering wheel, but left little metal fragments all over my interior

Also, not the brightest thieves....there were cut marks on my club too, showing that they tried to cut through it as well.

Another thought, if you don't intend to be driving it for a while, just pull the ECU....I did that after mine got broken into (since they screwed up the ignition so I couldn't even start it to move it into the garage), since I couldn't get it towed until the next day.

              I thought about that
but...before they get out of the drive way im going to have plenty of time to get out there for some buisness

how would they manage to get through the clubs?

Not sure, but I have heard that you can even use compressed air for this.....but generally "compressed" anything, when you use it, whatever's coming out of it gets cold. If you find something that gets cold enough that it'll freeze whatever it's hitting right as it leaves the can.....well, they basically just freeze the inside of the club, and the tap the back of it with a hammer, and the lock part falls out.

That's just what I've heard........never tested it, don't even intend to have it tested on my car.....installing / installed a few other tricks if someone tries to steal my car again.

I've never used those compressed air aerosal's for club braking but they do get very cold when you spray them upside down, however it's more likley that butane or even propane would be used by thieves. Dont quote me on this but I belive propane expands 200:1 when vented from the cylinder

Steering wheel clubs are the worst safety device ever. It will only stop stupid kids looking to have a joy ride.

If somebody really wants to steal your car, and is ready for it, they will have checked it in advance, and will be ready to take that thing off in 2 secs. Some just take the steering wheel off if they can't cut it.

IF you want to make sure not to get your car stolen:
                          1-Pull the battery
                          2-Pull the ignition fuse
                          3-Pull the igniter
                          4-Pull the ECU
                          5-Pull the fuel pump fuse
                          6-Jack the car
                          7-Install a camera
                          8-Have a good laugh

J/k. But seriously, sad to hear about your 929.

another great solution is a garage with no doors except the one from the house. if they want to get in they'll have to open the noisy garage door or break in. either way you'll wake up and call the cops.
I've been brushing my teeth with jack but it's resulted in terrible amounts of tooth decay.

I had a fuel pump kill switch installed on my car for protection. It is hidden very well (it would take a very long time to find). And the best feature of the fuel switch is that when you shut the car off there is still fuel in the line, so if someone tries to start it with the switch engaged, it will turn on and idle for about 3-5 seconds, then cut off. If you have a louder exhaust then you will hear someone try to steal your car, and you will probably have enough time to get out there before they realize they won't be going any further!
