wrapped my GTR console in "dry carbon" look...what do you think??
even if you mess up the first time around, the spray adhesive stays more-so a gunky liquid over time. You can just buy some goo-gone or a non-harsh adhesive remover and rub off the glue. I've resprayed the backing of my door card fabrics and got overspray on the vinyl. Some goo-gone and elbow grease, and its gone! Definitely want to try this carbon stuff. I've seen the tutorials on actually lacquering the surface after which seems a bit more secure and permanent, but how does it hold up with just spray adhesive? Seems to be holding up? no peeling?
“Hey, come on, its a car right? No. It’s a symbol of your history, its a thread of continuity from which you came to where you are. It’s important that you don’t want to forget who you are.” -Dr.Phil in "Love the Beast"
it's only been a few days, but it's holding up great so far......The only thing I've done different than what the tutorials say , is that I also sprayed the backside of the material, and not just the console....I think the tutorials only say to spray the console....If you are handy, you should give it a try... You'll be very happy with the quality and realism...it actually looks better than the real factory carbon thats in my Porsche!

ive never done this, but i use a very similar spray glue for work all the time. if a semi permanent bond you spray one side lightly. if you want a permanent bond you spray both sides with a medium coat and let it get tacky. once you put it together the 2nd way it wont come off.

do you think this would work with a sheet of regular cf?
Absolutely not.....carbon fibre weave just glued to your console will not hold up on it's own....unless you use resin.....I already thought of that......the actual fibres would come loose if they got snagged if untreated....

He can't. How do you want him to get a hold on 10 center console?
Dude don't be ridiculous.
- People could sent him their trim piece.
- He could sell the pattern already pre-cut.
- People could make an appointment to get theirs done in person.
- He could do different colours.
- Or it he's not into profit... he could post the pattern online for everyones use with a DIY.

Seriously, did I really need to explain this?
Whatever.
