Hi, I'm want to buy a skyline, found one, got cash, but every insurance company I call won't insure it. I've searched and tried calling the company's listed but the say they won't. I even called the company that insured the car before and even they said they don't do it?!

keep this in mind, often minor collisions in Skyline are writeoffs, especially (from what I've read) out west. talk to FunnyGas for his life story with skylines lolOriginally posted by NismoS-tune View PostAnd then when you scratch the bumper from a fender bender, they write it off.

i try to stay the hell away from insurance anyways. If i were to be getting into an accident i can tell you now, i would have a quote already done long before i talked to my insurance company, or i would convince the other people (provided it wasn't a one car accident) to not go through insurance. All my speeding tickets are now off my record, but I've still got 2 "at-fault" accidents on their

Man some of you guys shouldn't be driving
I think I had one claim when I was 18 and none since.
Anyways, what they're saying is very important. Make sure you have a very good idea what your car's worth, what the parts are worth, and what your insurance company is willing to cover. It may seem like a PITA right now, cause you're just pushing to get it on the road, but I can speak from experience.
When my car got broken into, all my company would cover was $1700 worth of the $4500 in damage. Wasn't something I thought about at the time of my renewal, but when you're all of a sudden looking at spending that much (would be more with any body damage) to get your car back on the road or have it written off, you all of a sudden wish you'd spent a couple extra days finding a better policy
