So why would you pay more importing it from there compared to Japan? Do you mean pay more for the actual car itself. Or is it just more expensive to import from Britain?

I would assume shipping would be substantially more? I don't know where cars would get shipped to on the east coast, but if they need to ship it to vancouver, the distance is obviously a lot greater than from Japan. I could be way out to lunch but that's about the only thing I can think of, because the difference in actual vehicle price isn't that large.

Yah thats what I was thinkin to. I guess you could get it shipped to the halifax harbour. But just the cost of getting it shipped there and then across canada to Edmonton would be a little steep. I was just curious if it could be done for a price close to what it is from Japan.

I have a coworker who imported a Unimog from Britain last year and it was brought from Liverpool to Montreal. I know the shipping cost was atrocious because the thing is oversize and had to be brought on an open container.

A GTR in Britain will cost 6-7000 pound which is around 13000+shipping on top. Do you think it's worth it??

Not only the shipping, the sales market is different in Japan and GB.

Most people in Japan do not want 10+ year old cars therefore the prices reflect the lack of demand in JDM. Great Britain market may not be the case.

shipping is too expensive plus cars rust out quicker there.....

Also due to things like MOT your probably going to end up with a spedo that reads in MPH, and maybe a few other things that have to be changed for their standards.

you do know that the uk changed to metric a long time ago and its pretty much the USA that remains as an imperial messurement country

Really? Cause when I was in England two summers ago I could've sworn all the traffic signs were in mph.
