what are you even saying here?? what or who is summit?

For 50 $ its mad cheap, but id still probably rather make on myself. take an hour on a lathe and drill press, then weld in some hose nipples, and... voila done.

also how much are you guys paying for braided hoses. i couldnt find any good pricing ideas except for ebay. also what diameter hose and how long to relocate to usual spot?
You should also do a home made oil pump and head.

sweet, hows the wallet feel after getting raped. type R sickkkkkkk

If you make your own plate (all the power to you for DIY), just go on summitracing.com and order your fittings and lines. They have some -10an fittings with a side thats meant to be welded. Run -10 fittings/lines and get about 4-6 feet of hose depending where you are mounting it. You can get straight fittings, 45's, 90's whatever you like to piece it together.

Don't forget to machine a groove for an O-ring on the plate.

Owning a fast and reliable GTR is worth more than the cost to me... It's just slow right now cause it's old and has stock internals.

Here are the lines/fittings I used on mine (cooler setup but you get the just).

All quality parts (greddy plate with stat, earls core) put together for under 290 bucks.

                -10 or bust.

You'll probably need more than 3 inches

Honestly though, go for 6. I can't see a foot and a half either direction getting it done.

I think -8, - 10, - 12 is chosen by oilcooler core that's used for what application. I think - 8 would be for gearbox, diffhead, etc cooling.

For 10 row, there's 3x options (depending on application) -

Now this is what I call DIY! This thread has just saved me $700+. Racer parts wholesale and summit parts look very interesting. High quality stuff at half the price of even ebay crap

No more over priced tuner crap for me.

                            GOOD thread!

Maybe this should be sticky, some important numbers here too.

The oil system is something I personally would not want to **** around with. That's just me. You have something not properly sealed you could spray oil all down the highway on your approach to redline.

I'm not saying go buy an HKS kit, I'm just saying you may not want to do it yourself. Maybe your a machinist; maybe you're a highschool kid in shop class. Beats me, either way "Builders Beware" I guess is where I'm going with this.

all it has to do is hold 90 PSI max and up to 300 celsius to be safe.

There is no actual moving part, Earls fitting and reputable thermostatic relocator and a half decent cooler will work well.

Or get a used name brand kit that cost 1500 or something stupid when new.

I flushed mine out then recut/rebraided the lines to make sure the joints don't wear out from the braid.

1L extra required for oil change now
