  • New Wheels

So I've gotta deal with the horrible task of picking out some new wheels for my Silver '92 GTR and I was wanting some input from you guys.
Below are links to what I'm looking at and if anyone has a set of 17" or 18" LMGT4s about 8-9" wide in good shape I may be interested.
Lemme know what you guys think!

The winner so far in my book is...

    Thanks for your input!

numerous spoked wheels look the best on GTR's. If you could afford BBS LM's that would be my vote, but most of the time thats not the case

      lol.

the winner in your book = epic fail fitment.

please do the community a favor, and dont put gay ricer wheels on your gtr

      get RPF1's in 18x10 with a <20 offset

that or Charles has a set of 17x9 LMGT4's in bronze.

        ^ yea derek.

I have a set of 17x9.5 +12 Nismo LMGT4 with tires for sale. pm me if you are interested.

But yea..18x8 +37 is worse than stock fitment. Why would you want to stay with 8" wheels anyways??

X 2..................Buy the RPF1's or the LMGT4s if those are the choices and don't buy a weak width and offset.

I'm talking the style, not the exact specifications of the wheels -_- But whatever, I'll take the ricer comment. Hopefully your guys' E-penises grew an inch!

Good call on the BBS LMs/multispoke wheels but I'm trying to keep at or below $1500 for wheels.
I'm certianly NOT trying to go "ricer" but I certainly want something that suits the cars "heritage".
The reason for the narrower wheels is to keep the tire width at or below 255. Save weight, less unsprung weight, easier to stop and easier to accelerate ect ect.
Plus the NS roads aren't always so great and a little extra cushion with a 40ish series tire will help.
I haven't figured out what offset to go with. I'm trying to keep 'em tucked in a bit to keep the road rash off the side of the car. It's got original paint that's almost perfect and I'd like to keep it that way.
                  I've got 17" Volk GT-Ps on it now 8.5 30 offset and 9.5 35 offset rear.
                  Thanks for all the input!

if you have a low budget liek $1500, looking into the work emotion line, XD9, CR kai would be a good choice. Enkei RPF1 is also a good option for you.

if you want light wheels, 9'' RPF1s and LMGT4s are lighter than most 8'' wide rims

and you can fit anything from 215 to 265 wide tires onto 9'' rims

^^good call charles, the XD9 and CR Kai (which i got) are great wheels, not the lightest but still very very good

+1 for RPF1 , pretty much the lightest wheels around

                      or

buy charles' nismos, i can't stand knowing they are still for sale and that i don't have the $ to buy them

I've actually got the CR Kais on my list. I forgot to add them to the list on the original post. I'll have to look up the XD9s.

This is what's on the car right now...

I've got a buyer for them. If he doesn't step up I'm gonna keep 'em, get them refinished and run them again next year.

don't be gay with fitment on a gtr, less that +20 offset and 9.5 width at least

One of my favorite wheels are the SSR Type F.

Good cost, VERY light... tons of offsets/widths available.
