        Hey Guys,

        Let's get some factual information out here shall we, as the vendor in question is spreading mis-information about our current products knowingly or unknowingly since they have not handliung our AMS products for some time now (I will let the moderators in on this as well!)

        Our Control arms are the best in the marketplace in their current offerings when factoring price, quality, fit, features period. No one in Canada will beat us on comparable units

        The AMS locking collars are the thickest in the industry as a result of installation facilities and alignment shops breaking the original versions (never a problem with internal installations at our facilities). These locking collars are 1 mm thicker than Powertrix!

        The AMS end shafts are different widths as well!

        The AMS Koyo Japanese Sealed Bearings are top drawer pieces!

        The AMS arms feature support sleeves within each end to distribute load.

        What caused the Midori inspired arms to loosen at the ends is incorrect installation by facilities period which are not familiar with these designs. They will state the bearings have failed when in fact the ends came loose! Locally we have not had these problems with units installed as we are have been installing the Midori style units since their inception! Our current designs are loc-tite fitted before shipping!

        They fixed the problem with the constantly snapping locking collars, but there is too much tollerance between the inner and outer shafts, so they are never as solid as the should be.

        In addition, the end shafts are the wrong size on one end, so you have to bend your control arm bracket to fit.

        The single bearings on each end tend to cause the loosely assembled end shafts to work themselves loose as well.

        You can get the same arm on ebay for half the price.


        If you want a good upper control arm, take a look at the Powertrix arms here. AMS sent an old version of those to China to be (poorly) copied. The Powertrix version doesn't have those problems.


        This is one example of how an ebay part "looks the same", but the engineering and quality is quite different.

          I bought a set of bovs from vuk and in my excitement took the car out without a bumper and forgot to tighten one of the bovs, soon as i let off i hear POP, and the i can hear the bov bouncing of the bottom off my car and i look out my rearview to see it bounce down the road behind me, i thought it was totalled. The top nipple broke and the set screws were bent in the holes, i straightened the screws, tossed a little paint on the bov and once i get another nipple it'll be good to go. so i dunno about his other products but he makes one tough bov.I also ordered front rotors and pads from him, he was cheaper than anyone else and i have no complaints about them.

                The forum in question (tt.net) has a very specific agenda when it comes to AMS INC. that is very transparent to the educated reader. I will not dealve into drama but the crying game is mostly by competitors and their supporters who have lost a large market share and will continue to do so.

                Readers must always get both sides of the story before coming to any haste conclusions.

                Trying to post anything to support AMS on that site is frivolous as the owners/admin are direct product competitors as well as their friends who own competitor shops and do most of the bashing along with some sheep.

                Within this community we have provided quality products and second to none customer support. This is a testament to our staying power in the industry since the early 90's and our continued growth above and beyond the coveted 300ZX.

                I encourage readers to get factual accounts of our corporate structure and history as they are listed on our web-site for everyone to see.                   I'm also interested in reading about this since we haven't done ca or sr swaps for any other customers. The only vehicle that has received an sr20 swap inside AMS is one of my own cars and the only thing "hack" on that car was shady bodywork done prior to purchase.

                  It's pretty hard to hack in an engine which bolts into the vehicle it's not exactly a difficult transplant, but yes I'd be very interested to know who said this.

                      2nd thread on this because the 1st one got locked

                      Read the thread about the ams vs ebay manifolds... I have yet to see why the thread was locked or have yet to see a response to the post by the evndor. Sure he said we do this, this and this in the industry but can i get a response as to why his product is not only "like" the ebay product, but "IS" the ebay product...
                      And mods you can clean up the posts as much as you want ...but could you at least allow for an answer..im just confused

                            I purchased AMS upper links 2 years ago and after many Autox races they are still operating perfect.
                            I highly recommend them!
