  • How do YOU drive your Skyline?

Not to pull the "new-b" card, but I figured I'd make a discussion out of this as I want to hear your opinions and see what you all have to say.

A few days ago someone called me a quote on quote "p**sy" because I don't beat on my Skyline as he sees fit (he owns a S Chassis). Not that I care about his opinion but anyways, according to a few people, they feel if you own a Skyline you should drive it like a beater and race it or drift it all the time, as they feel it's a "track car" over a enthusiast car.

I for one, daily drive my Skyline and it is my only car right now, but I love it for that, a good reliable car with no problems and I hope to keep it that way, as it's more of a long term investment for me.

So my question to you is how do you drive your Skyline? I know some guys build track cars, some guys use them as weekend drivers but as for other people daily driving them, am I the only person who does?

niceeee am more excited then you are. Thinking about you a friend of mine comes to mind. He waited 5 years for a sports car. not particularly a Skyline but he eventually bought one an R33 GTS-T. and I've never seen a person relived more then him after he bought it.hope it goes well for you too.

I drive my car hard, thats why I bought it. 2 weeks after I bought it I melted a hole in #6 piston (should have had it tuned, poor a/f mixture) so had to rebuild the engine better and stronger then before. Now with the new engine I still drive it hard, its a GTR - like I said thats why I bought it.

**For the record Im not saying I race the car on the street nor do I promote this - there is a time and place for everything - like a track or the strip.

I do use my car as a daily driver in the summer and trust me it gets a flex every single time I take it out. As for the douch's that always pull up beside you and want to launch it off the limiter or for your buddys who are always telling you to drift it around the next corner or race every car on the street - show them where to buy there own and tell them to go as hard as they want. Every single skyline owner has experienced that Im sure..

don't drive much with it for other reasons

                              depending on:

                              weather
                              traffic
                              time of the day
                              place

All according to how little I can make myself look like a fool whilst not injuring other motorist/wildlife/pedestrians while avoiding tickets.

A car is a car and if that S chassis guy likes beating on his car, that's his choice. Sure he can call you a "*****" (his opinion) but you can also call him an immature idiotic bastard who is inconsiderate of others. (also an opinion).
