  • Importing a GT-R?

Just had a view questions about importing a gt-r:

What is the cost generally, I know this all depends on the car I find but usually what is the average range expected to be paid factoring in importer costs, etc? Is it cheaper to get one from already in Canada?

Looking for a lowish KM one, 100-120 kind of area and there doesn't seem to be any of those that aren't already pretty modified for sale. I want a nearly stock car.

What all is necessary and how long is the wait usually? If I use an importer to do it will they take care of the DOT compliance etc for a fee?
    Sideways is the best ways.

Most of my posts have been asking questions and responding in those threads.

And sorry, I didn't really think to search at the time.

i agree..buy them from bc..i did with mine and got a real steal
i thought of importing but talking to some of the ppl in japan i realized there is NO GUARANTY that the car bought online is the car that shows up at your door..
my buddy bought his GTR from japan and when it arrived it had NO CLUTCH left..not only did he have to pay duty and brokerage but spent an additional $3000 on a new clutch not to mention about 3 years working out the kinks in the electrical system.

word of advise.. BUY LOCAL and if it's not local but it from BC/ALBERTA
