What model year for extra GT-R bumper ducts?

Been browsing a few GT-R listings on Kijiji and I've noticed quite a few 1992 GT-R's being listed, but they don't have the extra GT-R front bumper ducts for the intercooler.

Mine is a BNR32-2XX, which makes it a '92, and it does have the ducts.


What gives?

Hokay, it seems that they were a (popular) available option, or an aftermarket fitment.

Mine are too tight and close a paint match to suspect aftermarket, so I'm guessing they were an ordered option, along with the Nismo deck-lid lip.

Would be neat to see what options were available to the GT-R buyer at the time of ordering!

They called them "N1" ducts, so I'm guessing they were available on N1 BNR32's and people ordered them from factory or got them installed prior to purchase as an option.

It goes with the "N1 front bumper rebar" also.

What's a "N1 front bumper rebar"?

They are standard on Nismo and N1 models of BNR32.
The duct and the rebar (steel bumper behind the bumper) are the only difference between the Nismo/N1 and standard models.
If you want to grab a set of the ducts, we sell them brand new from Nissan, and you can just cut holes in your standard rebar to allow fitment.

Just because it's common knowledge to some, does not make it common knowledge to all...

Just FYI, the Nismo/N1 kit includes the front bumper, hood lip, side skirts and rear trunk lip. The rear spats are dealer options and the mirror lips I am sure are not Nissan.
