His car could be that low in price if he did the leg work himself.

Just to let you know 99% of the importers charge market rate or close to market rate for the cars they get for you at auction.

works out like this car $4000 fob + $1000 importer fee + importer inflated price to line his pockets? why because he can. A while back I wanted to get an 90 SiR civic hatch RHD. Dan Hunter and a few others were saying that car would be about $6k for a junker to $10k for a decent one landed. I was like WTF!! there's no way in hell a 1990 Honda Civic hatchback SiR was going to cost that much when junkers here were like $4k out the door in toronto.

Tiger is also for opportunists ! Bought my GTR from them about 4 years ago ( blowing black smoke) and at the time it was a steal.

As we pushed it onto the car hauler, the little asian guy looks at me and says in a conspiratorial whisper " you did good , this good car" , at which point I thought, " sure, buddy ".

            Got it home, and found the following ;
blown turbo- ( even the impeller shaft was gone ! )
Engine dents in the fender s
3 1/2 inch HKS super dragger
            JIC Magic suspension
HKS Oil cooler & filter relocate
            nicely rashed Drift King rims.
a bunch of other little sh@t that I can't remember right now 'cause i'm old and not obsessed with just one car

Bottom line ! Yes, they are weasels ! yes, most of their stuff is crap ! But Steve is correct ! if you know what to look for ( or are just lucky like me ) you can get something that is workable ( or highly modded) for cheap !

            Spreading positives ! ( not HIV )

And now we sit back and wait for the know it alls, er, gifted Skyline officianados to bless us with their wisdom and truly negative, er , inspiring commentary .

i don't care who his name is. I do know that $1000 fee the importer charge is bull ****. $1000 + $up to market value is more like there fee.

why don't you get upset about every other business out there then.

they do the exact same thing

Of course, everything can be done yourself. But for the convenience for some people, there are businesses out there that will do it for you for a fee. Wether you agree with the fee or not. thats life.

                  deal with it

                        What is your budget?
What do you plean to use the car for (DD etc.)?
What level of service are you looking for from an importer?

Also take a look in the for sale section of the site, you may be able to find one that fits your requirements, see in person, test drive, and learn the history of via posts on this site.

im looking to spend about 10 G's
it would be a DD but also would include adds on to it as i would never be able to leave such a rocket alone with out modding it
i have a company car so my daily driving would be 12 kms to work and back
and to the gym or what not after work
                          nothing crazy
in the summer the car would basically be going back and forth to work as i have a summer car
i dont mind changing the tires headlights and all that myself but
i dont want to spend thousands more to have someone do it for me

ive been looking at 2 places
Rightdrive isnt far from me and they seem to do things right ... make it as close to driveable as possible before you buy it

and also sunrisejdmmotors.com they are in quebec but a friend of mine doesnt live far so i could no problem be there as well

I was there last Friday looking at a R32 GTR and they said they now have drive-train warranty's and you can choose to buy the car safety and e tested if you like but it will just add to the price of the car. So if you wanna gamble, buy a car and get a 1 year warranty and if the car is good for that year, it should be good much longer if taken care of.

                              tiger sucks .
                              if you want a car
                              A) check the For sale threads
                              B) talk to one of the importers on the site to see if u can work something out in your price range
                              C) since all the importers have closed down in Toronto your really only left with Right Drive and maybe OniJdm ( if their still around) so give them a shout.

the for sale thread is deadly cause you never know if they are still for sale or not

and most people want 15 G's plus ... obviously with extensive mods done as well

im going to look there right now anyway

i did find this on kijiji
dont know if its a memeber on heres car or not
