  • rear speaker q/a

Hey guys my rear speakers are the clarion addzest 3way flush mount (5.25in speaker, and 2 tweeters and mid and high)....the speakers are completely shot and was wonder do you think it would be worth it to take it apart and throw some new 5.25 speakers in the setup or just go with some 6.5 speakers? I kinda like the look of the speaker plus tweeters set up but want some decent sound. in put?

100% no BS, but I found no difference in sound levels/quality when I pulled my rear speakers and everything and just left the fronts.

Granted I only had the stock radio which meant one channel of talk radio that I could actually get, but yeah, no difference in monotone radio guys talking about politics.

And no rear seats or trunk trim.... So I couldn't really hear them talking anyway.

You know, you should probably just ignore me.

I just did all the speakers in my GTS, Kickers all around. 5'' round in the front, 6x9'' in the back. But the 6x9's required alot of cutting to fit properly ( but the sound quallity is worth it! )

6x9s would be nice but I don't wanna cut up the rear shelf to make them fit. I've been starting to lean towards putting 6.5in speakers in....anyone have an experience with alpine type s? I thought about type r but they need to be amped to sound the best : /
