haha well 1 i'm not sure if he'll give me the full value yet. And 2 i just got the car back together and have racing coming up. For one thrashed syncro i don't really want anymore down time. Later on this year i'll probably get it done. That rb25 tranny is way more weight than i'm willing to tackle with floor jacks, i'll take it to a buddies shop in the fall when its done then do it. As long as it lasts lol

So i got a call back today and the guy has decided not to give me anything due to speaking to some "skyline specialty shop in vancouver" saying my claims are void etc. He was also told that i was bashing him over the internet or something so i'm assuming another sponsor on here was filling him in on this thread where i was "seaking information" vs bashing. So if that mystery shop ends up reading this i'm sure you can pass on the message that if he thinks this is bashing, he's in store for one heck of a lot more. This isn't about money anymore it's about principle. I would never treat a customer nor his vehicle in this fashion so he better prepare himself. Gonna be fun!!

agreed, the best part is that he doesn't know about yet is my buddy that helped me build my car drove it after they had there hands on it and can back me up on everything i've told him. I've tried phoning him again but he's dodging my phone calls so i'll try one more time then go see him.

So someone on this board doesn't like you, is my guess. They saw you getting screwed, and decided to eff with you to make sure it wasn't going to be easy to get compensated. Going to take it to small claims court, or just raise a huge fit with corporate HQ? Either way, this is just another fine example of how chain stores/shops like this are garbage to be avoided at all costs. Maybe the techs who work at the places are amazingly awesome car guys who can diagnose and fix anything, but the managers are always tards. Probably because they have no skills other than answering phones/sitting at a desk/selling stuff, while the guys on the floor have hands on stuff that makes them useful/intelligent in more than just a work setting

well like i said i'm not going after the money here. If i went to a small claims court i have no hard evidence of what took place though my witness would be worth his weight in gold going against him i'm sure. But no i'm going to make it clear that if we don't come to an agreement i'll be sending out probably a dozen letters to HQ, editors, etc etc. Plus on shops with names like autopro there are lots of ways to apply online reviews and opinions. I know if my business was my lively hood that would get me worried. I just do mine on the side so end of the day i have nothing to loose in this.

Was mostly saying the headers are for N/A engines. But yeah, it would be like china B18 headers lol

so got off the phone with the guy again and threw most of my cards on the table. He wanted to see if i was bashing him so i hope he enjoys reading what everyone on this forum and i have to say about the actions that took place.

                        I even learned something new!!!

My car was not only taken out once but now apparently it went out two times!! Funny how the story changes. Maybe more than one person wanted to play behind the wheel perhaps??

Two thumbs up though for worst shop I've ever dealt with.

I can't believe the other shop sold you out like that.

Send the shop the link to the thread so they can make the decision on whether or not you're bashing them. I don't even remember if I saw the company name in your initial post.

Hope it works out in the end...

i see this as some broke skyline owner looking for a payday. quote for $1400 for a transmission rebuild and your planning to do it yourself? sorry for being a **** but that's how i see it.

If the shop reads this.... from his other posts on the thread he basically says he doesn't have any facts to back himself up in court.

And shops shouldn't let employees joy-ride customers' cars. What's your point?

regardless of the amount he ends up getting, there should be some reimbursement for the inconvenience this has now caused.
most of us would seek the same thing. tranny rebuild or not and where does he say he's gonna do it himself. it doesnt, he said eventually to save him from the current downtime he has already had , that he will get it done later on at a buddies shop
