My buddy works for a gas transporting company and all day they debate which gas is best etc.. they finally came down to that Chevron 94 is the best. So Thats all i've been putting in my car! Supposedly the shell Nitrogen enhanced stuff eats away at metal over time?

chevron 94 clearly states "contains no ethanol". Never had a problem with it and i am not switching to the V-Power band wagon, even with my gtr

I used to run Chevron 94 and it worked great. Now however I've moved to a town without a Chevron station so I'm leaning towards Shell V-Power. We also have Petro, Husky, Mohawk, Fas Gas, Esso. I'll have the car on the road shortly and see how Shell 91 compares to Chevron 94.

Instead of a wiseass remark that contributes nothing and clutters threads, perhaps you could enlighten us? Is it about ethanol eating fuel lines? Doesn't all gas come with ethanol now?

+1... And no V-Power still has no ethanol

Ethanol slows th espeed of the flame front. Enabling greater expansion rated once the piston is further down the hole. Where the crank has a leverage advantage. Longer leaver more tq. output. Soichi was doing testing for several different fuel manufactures when I was in NZ last April and to Quote one of the BEST tuners in the world. "Theres Power in thoes blends. You just have to tune for it"

If you are Local Edmonton area guys. Head out to the track take a look at the pure pump gas guys. They run low 8s 9s 10s and they run 94 blend. Sorry but it works in a 1400hp experimental Hemi.

Ive gone over this in the past and there is lots of arguments coming. I know Bring it on.

As for eating the rubber parts. So let me get this straight. You guys pull motors, swap clutchs, do brake upgrades in your driveways. But changing 24" ove hose is where you draw the line?

Exactly.... Most people aren't tuned for it, thus many people find their cars are happier with shell.

My setup runs best with 94 w/ ethanol. If it eats fuel lines, oh well, I like working on my car ;P

in ontario there is no 94 w/o ethanol, Im not sure about the rest of us easterners. the only 94 was sold by sunoco, who were bought out by petro canada, and now the ultra 94 exclusive to sunoco is being sold at petro can, with 10 or 15% ethanol i believe.
                              Victory is on the horizon..
