In Aug 2014 you can unless they change the rules. 2010 gets them out of EPA scope, but DOT is still interested until 2014.

nothing... OP is just excited to start doing business with the USA.
in regards to the comment about 10K landed GTRs in canada... +1.. the way i see it, a proper GTR is gonna cost about $25,000 - $30,000.. meaning fresh engine, proper tune, good mods etc...

so you can either buy one for $25,000 and have it running good off the bat, or buy a $10K GTR and dump $20K into it!... either way thats how much a GTR truely costs.

...that is, unless your content to be driving a ticking time bomb that'll blow its engine at some point down the near road.

these cars sure are fun when they're done up properly tho.

I'm a little curious as to how many actual 89 GTR's are left out there?... and yah man... EPA approved doesnt mean $h1t all eh... because its the FEDERAL - DOT (FEEEEDDERRRALLL) *Emphasis* thats been going around and confiscating and crushing all those "State approved" skylines...

bringing in an "EPA" approved skyline is a huge risk, it'll get crushed too, maybe in a month, or maybe 2 years, but trust me, if it comes in illegally, its a VERY small chance it won't get crushed.

I dont get why they crush them, why are they so harsh about it. They should at least let the owner sell the car where it can be driven legally or let the owners try ship it back overseas. Maybe even to the Caribbean, theres lots of British owned islands like Jamaica for example and all there cars are RHD. I think crushing a car thats in perfect driving condition is taking it to far.
Heart rate 160, I'm goin 260, RB26 run me past you in a jiffy

Eh, I doubt there will be much of an increase in price. I'm sure the importers are already saving up the 89's to get them in for 8k. If it were me I'd probably take the one for 8k and put 17k into it before I'd pay 25k for a good one now a days. You can do a lot to a car for 17k.

Hell get one with no motor and a nice body for 4k and build it up from there.

@nismo stune... i most certainly did not pay $25k for mine you're right.... i paid just above the 10K mark for mine and it came 100% stock....

2 years later ive put more than double what i paid for the car into it... *receipts and bills to prove it*... but im VERY happy with how things are going!
