The nice thing about buying localy is that you could have one of these within a week, and enjoy it right away for roughly the price you want to pay- makes sense to me. The only reason I imported mine, was because the R33's are few and far between here. Most of the R33's that are in Canada are junk and for sale at shady dealerships, and any nice examples are very high priced. The R32 is readily available in Canada, the majority have been well maintained by the owners, and you could get some very nice examples for under 10 grand.
oh, BTW, there has been alot of scams reported from Tradecarview. Aparantly most of the cars being sold there are from fake sellers posing as importers and dealers. Most of these scams are originating from the middle east. Tradecarview has a post in regards to this on their website if you dont belive me. Goo-net exchange is generally felt to be more secure, but your best bet is to hook up with an importer who has sent cars to Canada before.

What he said, word for word. Avoid tradecarreview. Check goo-net. Pricing is fairly accurate and it is a reliable source.
The big problem im having is all the skylines in Vancouver are 12,000+
....and they should be (GTRs).
At the risk of sounding like negative nancy, if 12,000 seems so out of your budgetary world, then a GTR isn't for you. It's not a schleppy prelude, its the real deal performance vehicle, and that means you need real deal money.

JMO but a GTS is what you should be looking at.
^ Agreed word for word..
Don't be one of those GTR parkers... because they bought a cheap GTR and now paying the price for it.
