I'm bumbping this thread because i'm looking at an oil cooler too. Here's my option:

Brianv8 is selling a godspeed 19 row oil cooler for around 200$ ( dunno if price is still good)

        - AMS is selling one at 195$ no info about the row.

        - Mishimoto is 10 row for 200$

        - Oh and there's a lot of Mocal flying around. I see 10 row for 90$+shipping. I see 16-19 row for 130$+shipping but it's only the oil cooler, nothing else. so i guess if i add the hose supply and such, it will go up to 200$ too.

What would you get? and what else do i need to have it fit? t-stat? relocation ss hose? Thanks for the kind help!

Mishimoto - 10 row, no filter relocation -265$
Proper oil temperature regulation is key to extending and preserving the life of your stock or high performance engine. Keep your temperatures in check with the Mishimoto universal oil cooler kit. This kit is applicable for most vehicles and includes all key components for reducing oil temperatures and providing your engine with extra protection against oil degradation. This kit includes a billet anodized aluminum sandwich plate in either standard or thermostatic form. The optional Mishimoto thermostatic sandwich plate provides additional temperature control and will limit oil flow to the cooler until optimal temperatures are reached, making it ideal for those in cooler climates. The included core is our proven Mishimoto 10 row stacked plate cooler which can withstand high fluid pressures and significantly reduce oil temperatures while exhibiting minimal pressure loss. This kit includes both a 3/4" -16 and M20-1.5 sandwich plate adapter which supports fitment for most makes and models. This kit also includes pre-assembled stainless steel braided oil lines with -10AN fittings and dowty seals for durable, leak free connections. Whether you are piloting a boosted rotary or blown small block the Mishimoto universal oil cooler kit will provide the efficiency you need to stay on the track and out of the shop. As with all our products this kit includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty

Godspeed - 19 row, Filter relocation? I'm not really sure from the pics, and there's no mention of it but it looks like it.. - 220$

Whatever core you choose (earls personally, 9 row) make sure you get a sandwich plate/adapter with a thermostat or one that is inline.

The mishimoto doesnt come with the thermostat in the block , i also didnt think it came with sensor bungs. The one i looked at in jrp had debris on the inside of the cooler matrix. If you get it make sure you clean out the crap first.

Im waiting on the HKS one expensive but comes with plates for the r33 to help with the air ducting..

like people said , you get what you pay for.

You do get what you pay for. One thing to look at with any oil cooler kit is the quality of the lines and joints. Trust uses Earls so you know they are good, HKS is also very good as well. I have an HKS kit on my BNR32 and it's worked perfectly, I have never, ever had an oil temp issue, even sitting in stopped traffic for hours in 40 degree heat with the ac on.

will look for earls. but sometimes things get overhyped. I have a mishimoto rad instead of the oh so great koyo and it does the job just fine with no leak whatsover.

Hey i've been running b&m oil coolers on a couple of cars now with no problems ,they work well.
For my gtr I have the
                      -B&m 34 row
                      -earls fittings
                      -10 ft earls ss line
                      -Earls thermostated sandwhich plate.

This set up is simple and should result in good cooling.
My car keeps on stealing my money .
