  • Speedhunters Japan road trip

I posted this on another forum just now but this is awesome and deserves to be seen by you GTR guys here.

CAR LIFE>> IZU TOURING - Speedhunters

After reading it I just wanted to hop in the car right away and go. I live about an hour from here.

I am busy this weekend though... It is August 6th... can anyone guess what happens on the 6th day of the 8th month?

I saw that too, would love to hit Izu sometime, never been out on those roads before. I usually cruise through Nagano on the Venus line.

As for Aug. 6, I know what it means, but I won't say. If it is what I think it is. Not sure why it makes you busy though

I'll let a few more people guess before I explain.

Pretty soon is also the G1GP and Drift Matsuri. It's been a year since I met up with Andy in Ebisu. Maybe he misses me. Are you going up there?

August 6th, would it be hachi roku day?
I read Dino's write up! Too bad he didn't let us know! I would have love to join in one of those Izu drives!

hachi roku day, didn't get that one!
Aug. 6 1945 was the day Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed as well.

          Derek,
I'm not heading up there unfortunately, too far for me.

            Yes, Hachi Roku day.

Had two of them once upon a time... I need to represent.
I will be heading to Daikoku to see what they are doing up there. Showing up at eight if anyone wants to meet up.

I hope the police don't shut it down too quickly.

              Hey, Hachroku day was sweet.

I got a chance to meet Dino, the writer of this article there.
              Cool dude.

I gave most of the 86 pictures to Adam at 7tune so we should be seeing an article soon.

I'll make a new thread about it if anyone here likes the old hatch.
