dashboard swap

Hey guys, does anyone know whats involved in switching out the stock dashboard (180km/h MAX) to my new one(300km/h MAX)?? is it as simple as unplug and install? or is there some messing about with resistors? i have pics here of the old and the new.

and im guessing i would have to remove my speed-limiter? or does it tie into this somehow...?

Plugs in. As far as I know, any speedo calibration changes due to increase in wheel diameter, etc are done buy a plastic? wheel with so amount of teeth on gearbox end of speedo cable on R32. Different wheels can be borrowed from other speedo cables (there are how to's on the internet and mention speedo cables the wheels come from) on other models of Nissan's. R33 can be calibrated by playing with 2 points (circuit board) on back of speedo (electronic on R33, not mechanical like on R32).

Stock speedlimiter is software on stock R32 ECU. If you buy Nistune for stock R32 ECU (updates stock ECU, so is retuneable / reflashable like modern car ECU's) you can adjust speed limiter, ECU tune anytime you want.

Pretty straight forward swap. Just be careful when wiggling out the cluster from the speed cable. Tend to swap. Always in stock if you need one.

and your speed limiter is called wire 52, google it and cut it, or wire in a switch thats what i did, and also i think its yellow i forget though.

if you cut it then your speed limiter is gone can you post a link to this diagram?

ok so after some researc found people saying dont do it it will screw up your hicas and ****

so my speed limiter is only a wire inside the cluster? it was still on with my old cluster aswell. i was going to tackle that issue next.

the speed limiter is wire number 53 its yellow with green and some silver and its located on the left side of the ecu towards the bottom

Exactly. Cutting ECU wires to remove speed cut when that wire is an input for speed sensitive steering is not exactly smart.

On Nistune, it was literally a click to remove the speed cut.
