does anyone know where i can buy a cold air intake kit that will locate it down by the IC ? ive been looking online for some and cant find any.

I cant think of any premade cold air style intake kits for the hcr32. Just put the filter as close to the head light as possible and make some ducting, or something?
Isn't a cold air intake useless on a turbo vehicle? The air is heated by the turbo and then cooled by the intercooler.

Better throttle response before boost builds? It won't be as noticeable as an N/A car, but it should make a difference.
I can't see that happening either. Maybe I'm talking out my ass, but it would still pass through the turbo and intercooler so it wouldn't make a difference. Probably why no companies make one for it.
Amnash, I believe I still have the stock GTR intakes, they might work. Or you could try making your own.

Companys don't make one because it would cost a lot more and most people aren't concerned about getting every last hp enough to cut apart their frame.
It defiantly makes a difference. Underhood temps on a turbo car get very high and getting fresh air definatly makes a difference.
Yes, it does still go by the turbo and intercooler but when colder and denser air goes threw the turbo, the turbo does less work to make the same amount of boost. Therefore, it's colder going in and much cooler coming out compared to the hot air intake. Even after the intercooler the air is a bit cooler than without the cold air intake.
If you still need an intake, just use a good cone filter that bolts straight to the MAF. I have an apexi filter that came with a nifty little gasket and everything. I'm still a proponent of the idea that even though the turbo heats the air, it's still a good idea to try to get colder air to the filter when possible. If I could fit one, I'd go back to the stock air box.
When idling, launching is where podfilter can be affected by hot air from engine fan. Also when bonnet is down, air from engine fan can blow hot air from radiator onto podfilter. Make a cold airbox to divert hot air from radiator fan away from podfilter and feed cold airbox with a slinky hose that draws air in via cold air intake (cone shape) in drivers side front bumper vent or infront of radiator. Top off a big plastic bottle (cut top off bottle) can be used for a scoop / intake for slinky hose.
