Have you notice a difference with or without your sound deadening hood cloth ??

it is a fire cloth. if your engine externally combusts, the small little clips holding it in place on the hood melt away and the cloth drops on the engine, in an attempt to extinguish the fire

It's more or less there to keep the rest of your car from burning. If your engine catches fire, odds are you're gonna need a new one lol

I learned the other day actually...Steve (G.T.R) had a small fire in his land rover and the cloth was about 3/4 of the way dropping when steve pulled an extinguisher and went to town. the back clips and one near the latch are holding it in place, the ones in the middle are gone and the cloth hangs lol

Is it seriously there for a fire? I thought it was more for sound/vibration. Perhaps that it's second purpose. If it's true that really cool although, as was said before, it's more of an accelerant now lol.
