Gas Pedal Stopper?

Well I just noticed that the gas pedal in the 91 GTR has a little stopper behind it on the floor from taking it all way the way down to the floor. Has anyone taken this out? What are the repercussions

Yeah, i am also wondering that now too. Any diff in power/response??
My R33 also has the same thing. Only thing i can think of that it does is stop the pedal from getting stuck with the floor mats.

its to avoid stretching the throttle cable
if it stretches too often, it will eventually succomb to metal fatigue, fail, and snap
then you'll be stuck in the middle of nowhere and look like an idiot

put it back

throttle bodies can't be more open than already fully open

Are you calling me an idiot? Had mine off for some time, not that i rip it everywhere but my throttle cable looks just as new as it did when it was put in.

it probably does "look" fine but i bet its stretched. which you wouldnt be able to notice by looking at it.
