That's like asking if someone prefers Amy Smart or Eva Mendes. Everyone will have a different opinion. Both are good cars. Which one is best depends on what you want it for and which one tickles your fancy more.

if you want a car that drives well and pulls strong, i'd go with the GTR, as long as you don't want to modifiy it

if you do have the modifiying bug, than i'd go with the 240, much cheaper to upgrade/repair, less assle since its LHD

Just read man... Go on other skyline forums, go see build threads... If you don't know the pro's and cons of a AWD $$$ and a RWD car, you're not ready to have the car yet IMO...
                  good luck

i'd say go with the s chassis, the sr is a good engine that can take a beating, its alot cheaper to maintain and to modify. At 10g's for a gtr you'll probably have to invest more into it so it's in tip top condition.

Also the s chassis is a very easy and fun car to drive.

having owned one of the few to ever exist (lol) fully stock GTR's id say if the GTR you're looking at is fairly stock or only lightly modified....get it...a stock GTR or semi stock GTR is a real pleasure to drive, its fast, quiet, smooth, and even somewhat reliable as long as you keep up on maintennace.

but like frank said, if you wanna modify it, prepare for a world upside down and extravagant prices and costs.

first thing id do if i were you is check what maintenance has been done to the GTR alrdy, heres a few points that are easily the biggest tells of a cars future reliablility:

                        1) timing belt + water pump + idler + tensioner + front crank seal (should've been done at 100,000 km)
                        2) look at the spark plugs, the color and deposits on them can tell you how the cars been running the past few weeks.
                        3) ball joints, tie rods, tables, and control arms.... if it has bushings on a GTR chances are it'll be worn, so listen for any clunking noises in the suspension system.
                        4) regular oil changes with a good synthetic oil
                        5) most important do a compression test... any where between 140 and 160 as long as all cylinders are within like 8 PSI of each other its good....

good luck! ps... i vote for GTR... the 240 is alrdy modded, who knows what the previous owner did exactly?
