Eh, I did the summer car vs winter beater thing for 4 years with my GTR. It gets old fast. Insurance for both, space for both etc. The R32's are just too old now. It's a constant worry about breaking down on a car that will probably cost more to fix then the value of the car. Sell it before something expensive breaks and pick up something thats fun in the summer and the winter. The 350Z is nice but it limits you. You pretty much HAVE to own two cars then. If you want both get a new car for the winter and a bike for the summer. Just my 2Cents.

needavdub - it's a 90. I've considered that too originally but I figure it'll take me under a year to get my 350z..

What year is your GTS? if it's a 89 or 90 I'd wait unitl it turns 25 and sell it to a US buyer, there will be kids in the US begging to buy your car despite being a NA auto. Just a thought

My girlfreind wasn't as reluctant but along the same lines, she was sorta worried. So i tought her in my lancer, now she loves it, she got herself a little 5 speed 98' civic lx lol...only time she gets to drive the skyline is when i let her back it out of the wash bay at work.

LOL my woman said the same thing to me when we needed to get her a new car... i told her " too bad so sad you are getting a 5speed " now she loves it and hates autos... her biggest arguement was " i dont wanna break the car" to which i told her " you wont and besides, what would happen if while on one of our various hikes or adventures i slip and break an ankle or something and cant drive.... what then?"Originally posted by Trace View PostShe doesn't want to =p
now we dont have that worry and she can drive damn near anything

She doesn't want to =p
Besides, I've come to the age where for me, it's all about style in what you drive. Not the levers. =p
On that note, does anyone know where I can find pictures of these mythical cloth seats that 350's are equipped with?

Teach her to drive stick?Originally posted by Trace View Postan 03 model is what I'm aiming for.
I want a stock white model in auto and no leather seats. I'd go back to stick but my fiancée will be driving it too.
I know they made 350z models with cloth seats... but I've yet to see them.

I am pretty sure at 2017-2018. The LHD 350z will be 5000 dollars or less. I dont think that the JDM model would be comparable in terms of price in time. The 03s NOW can be found as low as 10-12K with less than 150km. I think it is a pretty good time to get a 350z before they get too old.. lolOriginally posted by will@jdmconnection View PostOne reason would be that they will not have that inflated price tag on them like a Canadian spec model. Either way, good luck to you Mike.

I'm glad to hear your keeping it Mike! You are attached to that car and I think would regret selling it.

Will - Yeah man... it's been 5 years this month when I bought it! Was a big day for me! The price for the 350's have actually come down drastically in price. I've wanted a 350 for awhile. It's just that I doubt I can wait 7 or so years for one =p
But on that note, I have a few people I'm sending your way regarding vehicles.
On another note, I'm keeping my Skyline.
