  • What is the widest tire you can put without rolling fender?

I seriously don't want to roll my fender because I REALLY don't want to damage my perfect finish . So let's say I get 9.5 rims, I'm running 245mm and it doesn't stick out of the fender. However, when I turn the wheel, it's very close from the wheel liner.

I don't know the laws outside QC but if the wheel are wider than the fender, you can get fined. and secondo, I think it look fuzzy anyways and I don't want my tire to stick out of my car.

    Would 265mm be fine?

A mild fender roll won't damage your fender but if you pull it has potential to. I'm going to run 275's this summer and believe it will fit in the wheel wells no problem. I'm running 255's now and have plenty of room to spare

Biggest set of wheels Iv seen on a R32 GTR were 285. They were pretty close to coming out the side, but sat nicely.

fitment all depends on tire width, and rim offset

tire width is limited by rim width

18x9.5 +12 with a 265 required rolling for myself. Also "requiring rolling to fit" and "should roll to avoid destroying your tires" are different

Just a side thought, how do you determine the appropriate rim/tire size for best performance...say for track or drift? Dont know much about performance tires yet (other than what's beads, plies, belts, tread), I wonder if you guys have a good article on this topic

Again...sorry totally off topic for this thread @_@
