any old rwd can drift ( newer model can but they have all sort of assist) Best bet is to practice in an empty parking lot. Look for a video call '' drift bible''. You will learn a good base from this.

Learn it in the winter, everyone things its a joke but it teaches you everything you need to know at slower safer speeds, initating, and how to control the car during the slide can all be learned in the winter. The way I see it snow and ice is much slicker therefore your window to save the car is much smaller where as on pavement you have a little more time due much more traction, allthough you have to drive so much faster on pavement.

thanks...at pavement are their high chances that you might have a rollover doing drifting?thats why i really need someone who can teach me by my side to avoid something like that.

roll overs dont happen very often in drifting, especially with cars due to there low center of gravity... now if you were in an SUV.... lol

as already mentioned the video " drift bible " is your best tool to learn the basics. watch it over and over and over again until you have keiichi tsuchiya's advice memorized... then go find some cones cause you'll need them, make sure your car is in good working order and have at it...

you have a 92 gts-t which is a good base to begin with, what mods are done to it? any suspension, brake or LSD addons? cause thats all you really need, a clutch upgrade is also good to have or have ready to put in as clutch kicking is a bit ruthless on dry pavement
How many kids with A.D.D. does it take to screw in a light bulb?

It's hard on cars, and not just tires. Keep that in mind as you'll be wearing stuff out much faster.

Also if you do this in a parking lot you still can be charged under the HTA for reckless driving. Well at least in Ontario you can be. I had a buddy three years do some 'drifting' in a church parking lot at 2am. Next thing you the fuz was there. He tried to fight it in court saying private property but the charge still stuck.

btw..tires, clutches, ujoints, and driveshafts aren't that cheap.

Hey go to drifting.com and buy the "Drift Bible" by Keiichi Tsuchiya. Sure, you could watch it online or download it free but thats illegal and i'm not promoting that.. but you can.

Also ask dealerships if they have any tires they are throwing out that will fit your rims, it will save you money.

                              Edit:
