I like the part where you said "(now go sell more drugs or cry to mommy)" Haha. I haven't driven my car in 2 years but I still have insurance; good old Angela at Co-operators and Facility for bending me over backwards then pig roasting me... You could always just buy a GTR and strictly Track it no? That's what I've been thinking of doing. It's not all that fun to drive when you follow the rules of the road anyways.Dang! You got shocks, pegs... Lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

well by the sounds of it, you might as well drive without insurance. As stupid as it sounds, you'll be no further ahead crashing with insurance than you will be crashing without.
If i have this right,by what i've read here, they will insure you so that you can plate the car and drive it, but if you get into an accident they won't pay out on the car?
mine as well save the money you would be paying into insurance and keep it stored up for when you get into an accident so you can pay for the other parties repairs.
lol obviously i know this is rediculous, nor do i support driving without insurance but it's companies stupid policies and actions that drive people to act irrationally and do such things!Originally posted by Paradis^^ hows not being rich going? ...haters be hatin

lol dude...it's not the car that anyone should be worried about, although that is the common consideration for most kinds of accident. But more importantly, it's the 1mil minimal liability that bails you outta trouble. You never know when you might lose control of your 15 yr old gtr and ran into a cafe then have 20 people suing you for injury.Originally posted by Tony-R32 View Postwell by the sounds of it, you might as well drive without insurance. i know, i was joking with my post...just trying to sound as stupid as your insurance options, i would never personally drive without insurance, nor do i know how people can do so.Originally posted by Paradis^^ hows not being rich going? ...haters be hatin

Do not violate the NO MOD clause. I just finished my build and had my car insured for a higher value. I'm with Meloche Monnex, have had the GTR insured with them for 4 years now, and it took some time getting them to understand the mods and not give me the boot. If you mod your car for speed and do not inform the insurance company, your insurance is void.

Tyndago has a GTR that looks completely stock under the hood, yet it runs 10's in the quarter. If I ever get another Skyline, a GTR to be exact I will do the same. Coilovers, Wheels, and hidden mods. Get NISTUNE or something, turn up the boost to a modest amount, port your stock manifolds/down pipe, weld in the divider into the twin turbo pipe etc. Easy to make 400AWHP on these cars and you shouldn't even have that much power at your age. I have nothing against young people owning Skylines, but take it slow. Start with small modifications. You can get into a lot of trouble with power, and as much as everyone always says they won't speed/race or whatever you're still a young male with testosterone.. lol

wrt Certas, I am on the same train of thought as you. Looking for a stockish car with their so called "non-performance" upgrade is hard.... I guess this means I need to look into the very specific rules regarding mods in their books.
so far from old threads:
\\*** ANY HIGH PERFORMANCE PART WILL MAKE VEHICLE UNINSURABLE THROUGH CERTAS***///
NOTE:air filters, suspension, brakes, rims/tires(usless not street legal), changing air hoses to stainless steel, etc. is not performance.. its nescessity/function/value and is allowed within reason
bigger turbos/internals/nos/downpipes/test pipes/ecu/fuel mgmt/injectors ...largly increasing power is NOT aloud
also certas does not do 19A coverage but does do 19
I am just thinking, is Certas literally gonna send a guy to check your car for performance parts, or they gonna just deny coverage even to third party if a claim was filed regardless fault (of course in violate of the non-mod contract)? In the latter case it could be quite troublesome as injury claims usually bring about lawyers and law suits and cost will be uncapped if not backed up by insurance
