    I found this unplugged in the trunk , tried to find the source but couldn't . Can anyone tell me what it's for ?

      Black wire found it unplugged under the trunk mat.

        Still can't see the pic, but does it have a round connector with a center pin? If so it is for the factory CD changer that was mounted in the trunk. It will go up to the console.

              really? i had one in my trunk thought it was aftermarket
              i ripped it out and tossed it ... dammit

                Yep, check FAST, factory/dealer option. JVC six pack, cutting edge technology - back then.

                  When i installed my aftermarket stereo the antenna stopped working . i thought may be that black wire was for the antenna .

                    Black wire is a ground, is it not?

                        CD changer was a factory stereo option.

                        Here's the R32 optional part catalogue with different stereo's that were available at the time -



                        Even had a small popout TV.

                            This a definitely a cable for a CD changer. Did your car come with a factory head unit, an after marker or none? I notice that many RHD cars shipped out of Japan would have the radio/head unit removed. Perhaps the previous owner want to keep his fancy stereo system or the exporter/dealer want to make few more $$? Japanese FM frequency range is lower then North America (Canada) so if you have a radio for the Japanese market you will need a gadget in order to receive the higher FM radio stations here in Canada.

                              I didn't get the factory stereo with it , it came with an aftermarket but then i had to change that too since it only played up to 89.9FM
