  • Questions?

hey ther just had a few questions wondered if you could answer for me, just moved to ontario from the uk and just trying to get planted in the car scene.

Who is the best inurance company in ontario?
who is the best tuner/engine builder in ontario?
is there anywhere in ontario to do track days?
are there any weekly scheduled meets in the summer for Jap cars?

also i am a certified 310T mechanic i live in the Guelph area but i am willing to travel if anyone needs a hand doing any sort of job on their car, i used to own a Spec R Nissan S15 and have worked on all types of skylines and silvias, so PM if you need a hand ps i have a full snap on tool kit at my disposal.

Ontario is a major hub for virtually everything in Canada. It will have everything you are looking for. There are several tracks all with in a days (or less) driving distance. Do an online search and you'll find three in your area. There are also two more in Quebec plus the U.S. border isn't far away.
There will be several guys on here who will be able to give you more specifics.
    Welcome to Canada!

There are none if you're driving RHD. Be prepared to pay 4000 per year.

Although I am only 19...but unless you are 25 + with dirt clean record or had your G for 10+ years, then insurance would not be much better.

WELCOME!! this site is an excellent resource for everything skyline in canada. Its nice to see someone willing to help others right off the bat as well. Shows a great deal of character. Ontario really is the hub for canadian business. Meets are usually separated into the east and west. evidently we are in the east.... usually in the coming months someone sets up an eastern meet. i havent seen anything recently but it will come. In terms of insurance there are many opinions and routes depending on the $$$ unfortunately. please pm me for details. there is also a great thread called something like RHD INSURED IN ONTARIO AS OF TODAY or something. Welcome to Canada!

                Trevor.

Welcome to the site man! If you're looking for a VERY challenging track, I'd suggest you check out Mosport! They're not too terribly far from Guelph. Insurance is quite a hassle for RHD cars here, sadly. But it's hopefully starting to look up!

Definitely TMP would be closest. Just a shame that they have no real affordable membership options.

Being in Japan, and paying yearly, + track time is a way better deal I believe than having to fork out 200+ on a single track day.

Fuji For instance, yearly renewal at under 30,000 JPY, 30 minute track time at a little over 6,000 JPY. Now that's a deal.
