I have yet to find a filter for our cars. Trust me guys, just clean your AC matrix. that's where the "JDM" smell is coming from.

Radioactive dust and polluted dirt, bugs, etc...

I cleaned that bitch out and the car has a neutral smell now.

Where is this A/C Matrix? Photos please, or never happened.

Once I removed the pile of ashes underneath the shift boot and used a ozone machine the Jdm smell disappeared. I wouldn't be surprised that the Jdm smell we have in the car is just Japanese cigarette smoke

There is not a filter on these cars. These are diagrams for an R33, but I can't imagine them putting a filter in an R32, then taking it away on R33s.

Isn't there some sport of filter or flap in the trunk? On one of the sides, there is something down inside the 1/4 panel.

I checked into it and there is no in-cabin air filter in the R32 or 33, looks like R34 came with them though.
                  Nothing to clean I guess!

sure, let's say it never happened from your perspective, but my car doesn't have **** clogged in it while yours does

Nelsonmarx made a thread on deleting AC Matrix on his thread. It's straight-forward. Take your glovebox off, then open the box where the AC matrix sits in. You can even clean the fan blades and Heater core box while you're at it.

You don't need to take out the entire dash to access these parts guys..

I have changed tons of these, Toyota's have them directly behind the glove box and I 100% know the R32 doesn't have one. Basically they started been used around 2000.

You wouldn't believe how often I find mice living in their... so annoying having to clean it all out, and people always come in complaining of a noise coming from under the dash... 9/10 that is the fan been off balance from all the stuff mice carry in.

Not sure on the R32's, but the R34's have one (well two actually)... Just pulled mine out and yes, if anyone can point me in the right direction of a replacement part that would be great.

Never found a filter in any of the R32s either, I smoke alot in my car anyways, so that masks any smells. The japs are chain smokers too, so its not like it changed anything lol.

I'd guess most of us don't run AC anyways, can always throw the AC core out and replace it with a generic filter thats the same size in its place, might need to make some brackets though.
