about 300-400 for a pair is fair. why not leave your bovs stock? if you just picked up your gtr there are alot of other things you can do that will actually improve performance rather than hinder it like atmospheric bovs

You dont need blow off valves, all they will do if you dont recirc them is make the car run like a turd. If you DO recirc them, dont bother and just use the oem bypass valves. OEM sounds better than any aftermarket anyway :P

Instead of spending money on stuff that wont do anything, or worse, will have a detrimental effect, spend your hard earned dollars on stuff that will make a positive difference!

Most annoying BOV available. I had one on my first skyline and wouldn't hit boost just so I didn't have to hear it.

GReddy Type-R or the one Tial unit, can't remember the type.

Stock BOV's are a push type type BOV, so get pushed open by boost after around 10psi (I think GTR BOV's have a stronger spring, so might open later than 10psi). Can modify them to not leak by blocking the boost feed hole on bottom of BOV (tried that). But BOV doesn't work properly and get flutter sound (a form of compressor surge) at lower boost levels and engine bogs when coming back onto throttle when off boost.

The best BOV is a pull type non diaphram BOV and Synapse make those. They have a new type BOV that's better than old type (clamp type to lock flange in place instead of screws) and designed for GTR -

I run the old type (log style with screw type flange) Synapse BOV with 0 problems (has to be installed properly with Synapse boost connect kit, etc) and it actually increases response of engine and BOV goes off just under 0 on boost gauge. Also get back into boost instantly if you back off throttle and then get back onto throttle when off boost. But need to retune ECU to take advantage of this mod, as it does lean the engine out (more air reaching engine). That's where the increase in hp comes from, sometimes 20hp+.
