Machining costs - few questions

yea all of this info is pretty consistant to what i have read and what i learned after speaking to the guys at alecs. great guys btw they really know their ****. so basically the way i think of it i budget for 2000 (incase i need to replace anything mainly in the head) and plan on spending roughly 1500 all said and done out the door.

Check out Lordco Machine shop in MR. Very professional (because they are right beside the Lordco HQ) and knowledgeable. They worked on funny Nitro engines to boat V8's. You give them specs and what you want done, they'll do it. Also any Lordco discount account will work w/ them, so you can save $$$.

yea lordco machine shop is legit. all they equipment is top notch. plus if anyone needs work done and wants to go to them throw me a pm i worked there for 2 years and a few of my friends still work there so say hello to staff pricing throw me a pm if anyone needs any parts/machine shop help at lordco

The OP was refering to a specific job, if you actually did more than what he wants done, you shouldn't quote your price because it's not the right quotation.

true enough. I did guides, 1mm over bore and whatever else they do.
