  • Shipping from BC to MB?

I have a vehicle ready for pick up next week. I am wondering if there are any better alternatives than sea rail?

    thanks

really? you could prolly get a flight out for 200 ish, and then another 200 for gas? I personally find driving from out west to manitoba fun you can do 140 the whole way!

When i swapped my lancer for my skyline i had to go out to swift current to do so. going there in the lancer and back in the skyline cost me like 100 in gas.

You could probably do the whole thing for 500 max...i dunno what the other options would cost.

ya but your landing a car froma different country and it hasnt even been looked over and your driving it that far thats a no no. that couple hundred could easily turn into a couple thousand in a tow

Searail is the cheapest for sure.. maybe not the safest.. as they tend to not care about cars that much..

Iv heard that to but I used sea rail when I shipped my car to ztune to be built, there was a scratch on the bumber that I was sure the put on ! I reported it and they paid to have my entire front bumber repainted ( I have the invoice for $900 ) with no questions asked. They were fast and very organised. Its 2011 we arent using a horse and carriage anymore when you drop the car off they do a full walk around and record and take pictures of the car. If there is any damage they pay for it, thats what insurance is for so you have no worries.

                    LoL

If it was me i would come out.. give it a quick check over.. and drive her back..

                    fun times..
(If there is no snow of course)

I forgot to mention I was there when my car was loaded in Sask and then when it was loaded in BC. I didnt drive it home home because I didnt have time.

I didt drive it home from Montreal though (3200kms) and beside all the effin cops in Ontario it was a blast !

Mackey Transport, cost $900 to ship my old Chevelle from Kamloops to Brandon. I drove the car onto the truck, the new owner drove the car off. Was covered with a fairly new car cover in an enclosed trailer. Had two BMWs and a Ferrari on board when it showed up to my house.

If it was May, I would drive it. I have no idea where the rumers of cars with Missippi mud water for oil comes from. The last time I went to an auction lot I pulled the dipstick of about 40 cars and only found 3 that had dark oil, not black. If the car is a turd, expect poor maint., if it's a clean car, the owner looked after it and changed the fluids according to the recomended schedual. 99% of people in JP just do that stuff, they don't question it, they just do it. My Carry had fresh, clean oil in everything exept the engine when it showed up, engine oil was about done, nothing a lube place can't handle.

                          Jon.
