  • rear diffuser mounting

So my faux topsecret carbon rear diffuser came with 4 metal brackets and i cant figure out where they are used , i have an R33 .

Anyone else mounted one ? and if so could you enlighten me please before i start drilling holes in incorrect locations

    Also pictures speak 1,000,000 words

    Cheers

Just speaking from experience, none of those brackets worked for us when we tried to install on a customers car.
We fabricated all new brackets for it. Or try and figure out safe places to make holes.
Just try to fit the side pieces first and make sure they fit flush against the car.

I was also missing a few mounting brackets as well. I went and found a pic of the real meal deal, then started comparing.... to my disappointment I seem to be missing the side pieces that hang the diffuser.... So when I get home.... I'm going to hang it on the wall in the garage.... Expensive decoration.

I was also thinking of cutting it up to fit it better.... But it is expensive to cut to... Anyway, I hope yours works out better then mine.

Oh its going on the car even if i have to mount a roofrack and screw it to that .

You should see the stuff i had to fab to mount the rear wing , i took pics as I did it but havnt had the chance to post anything in my build thread yet. Heath Robinson would have been proud of me!

Try throwing the made-in-china knockoff in the garbage and buy a real one.

I have no chinese crap under the hood , only knockoff stuff i have is rear diffuser , front lip and rear wing .

I only use the real stuff on my engine , even though some of it is a hideous price

Go Fast Goodies = Nothing nut the best

Aero Stuff.... Over the years I have bought the real meal deal, like Blitz, Veilside... And it all fit the same.... Minor or major heating, bending, cracking and re-glassing(I paint cars, worked in a bodyshop for years). The only thing wrong with the piece that I have is the missing pieces, not the quality of the carbon, the carbon is perfect.

I think it happened just because of the shear volume in wick it was ordered and handled. It have easily been misplaced. Anyway....

I was also thinking of bending up some aluminium to support the diffuser, plus cutting off the sides and just using the center area.

Take lots of picks Cortexx, Like your attitude, I'm going to have another go at mine now.
