    Thanks for your input.
We have had people from Japan as well as New Zealand that are around Skylines everyday be "wowed" by this car and state that it is an very impressive concept.

I saw it in person when it was at the "right" shop while I was getting work done there.

Did you get rid of that "baller" intake plenum? I forget what it looks like though... Any pictures?

Look at USA, Japan for inspiration, as there are some original looking showcars in USA, Japan.

Chip Foose (Impression is my favourite hotrod showcar as you have to look for what he's done to the car, as some mods are obvious and some aren't) -

          Boyd Coddington -

Boyd Coddington was a legendary American hot rod designer, custom car builder, and entrepreneur. Known as the King of Hot Rods.

Just to name a few in USA who have made clean, nice looking hot rod showcars. You'll notice how the colour of engine matches, etc. Common thing done to showcars.

Gracer = King of Auto Salon trophy in NZ. That's why I was using it as an example. You can see he changed the look later on, more track focused than show.

Very nice. I usually frown upon cars that are done out like this but you have done a very nice job... not very often I like a car thats done to this extreme. Congrats on a creating a nice car man.

[QUOTE=Skym;467485]I noticed they change the look of a showcar for each event they enter to be competitive. It's more like a starting point. It's different from other showcars which is what I like. But it looks like different themes with engine, interior, etc stuck together on one car and not working together. Colour changes to rims, interior, engine can help to make it look better and work.

To get what I mean about colours, etc working together, look at Gracer with engine colour matching interior colour, etc -

Just for Clarification . I know Pete the owner and builder of GRACER. Hate to break it to you but the engine was from his old car and he didn't have time to re paint it and he kinda liked the yellow. He took the car to Dr.Bobs and asked for something wild and creative BOB picked the colour and the interior guy picked the leather colour. BTW its a GTS-4 Not a GTR.

THe "right" shop . Do you mean the one that took the money nand never finished the job. Sold the origional speedo. Is that the shop you were talking about? They paid for the plenum. But that along with many many other items somehow were not there when it was taken back.

Not really my cupa tea, but this looks great. Lots of planning and hard work went into this.

If it was mine I'd be scared to drive it on the street.

I like the "Flux Capacitors" on the doors, makes it look like it means business. *poke, poke*

Show cars are not my thing at all, but I have to admit, someone really took the time to make the R324 kit fit well and smoothed out all the ripples. I have seen some really horrible jobs done on cars that supposidly had over $100,000 spent on them. Mostly cars from AUS. though, where things seem to cost 4 times what they do here.

That was one of the first things that caught my eye (how smooth the paint looked, just like Gracer in real life).

                        Speeddm, thanks for sharing.

I've met Pete (Hoppy as most call him). I think it was a white R33GTR he used for parts car (too badly damaged, so used a R33 GTS-4 chassis).

Also I think his ex R32 racecar (rear wing, colour gives it away) won Superlap 2010 at Hampton Downs in NZ (has a RB30DET engine). There's videoclips of it at Superlap 2010 -

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

It was always quick, even in Hoopy's hands.

Note the front wheels are in the air on main straight.

This is exactly why this site has become nothing more then a garage sale for most memebers, and not a community of skyline enthousiasts like its supposed to be. As soon as someone does something different to their car, memebers come down on them like they killed a cat. This car is not something I would build but its refreshing to see something other then the cookie cutter skylines everyone seems to adore. Just my two cents. Props to building a unique car, nice work

Ally of nice work. The only thing I would personally change would be either take the green to a way darker green or make it black. It would play nice on the color of interior you have going on.
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!
