  • Newbee Question.(should be a sticky for really dumb questions for newbee's like me)

Anyways, my username doesn't reflect me at all.

question1: What is spooling? or how do you spool? do you need that to get the turbo boost?

question2: Theses cars are basically race cars...would it hurt it if it's babied? As in not ever going over 4-5 K rpm? when switching gears?.........I know theres a saying..."cars should be driven, they way they are meant to be"

Just google man...you'll learn a lot.

and it wont hurt the car, it'll keep it in better shape, longer.

I drive my car like an old lady,,, rarely bring the thing over 5K.
.. but brings a smile to my face winding it once in a while. I tell my wife that it's required,, blows out the carbon build up....

Well blow off is fine that's when you make boost and let off the gas. Spoiling is when the turbo is working on making it's full boost. And an o2 is actually an oxygen sensor which is used to count the particles of air to fuel so it can tell the computer to richen or lean

if your looking to answer questions like this, best to start by researching the basics of how an engine works, how a turbocharger works and what air/fuel ratio/mixtures are and the breakdown of how they are controlled. Most of these can be found on www.howstuffworks.com. Learn the basics then move up rather than learn bits and pieces without having the fundamentals down pat.

Actually your name does kind of suit you, I recommend that you look up the proper spelling for genius before calling yourself one in the future

                              Obvious troll is obvious.

He did give me a laugh though, I think when he mentioned blown turbos, he was literally thinking of blowing into turbos.

Now please bring down the banhammer on him, he's just spreading disinfo, and asking troll questions.
