I got mine from there. It runs perfect and has for well over a year! I've also seen this car. Right drive has cars that are in mint condition or close, so they can ask more. They also change all the fluids and and small things that add up. If you don't mind doing that work your self, this car will be good for you. But really you should check it out in person.

What dickered said. All of our cars are thoroughly looked after and reconditioned. Some of our R33's include John Chu's, Paul Hills and Juergen Manski's, all three a testament to quality.
Can't argue with it though. Good price.

A good friend of mine got an EVOII from there. Although it had some issues, and the guys there are a pain in the butt to deal with, he ended up with a very nice car once all was said and done.
I didn't want the hassle so I paid much more for Right Drive's services. Sure I could've gotten a fairly clean car for a couple grand less, but the guys at RD are very easy to talk to and sort things out with. It makes a big difference when you are dealing with people who share a passion for cars versus people who are just in it for the money. That's what mattered to me and so that's why I bought from Right Drive.
If you want a nice car for cheap and don't mind spending time on the deal and putting up with lame excuses and incomplete answers then I'd say go for it.
I will warn you from experience, the guys running that shop will do anything to keep you from exploring the car before you buy it. Once when I was there for the longest time they wouldn't let us start the cars, giving us lame excuses like "the mechanic hasn't looked it over yet" or "the keys are back at the office and it's too much of a hassle to get keys for everyone who is looking at a car" etc... Then when we finally got them to get the keys for a few of the cars, two of them had dead batteries. At first they were willing to let us drive them in the compound only, which is pointless as you never get out of 2nd gear in such a tight spot. After a few excuses like "one of our workers has the only test drive plate out already" and "we can't let just anyone hop in our cars" etc... we finally got to drive this EVO. After a few minutes we smelled hot brakes, turned out the one caliper was seized, also a window regulator was busted. They wanted to sell it to us in that condition with a safety certificate. We got them to fix the caliper and my friend picked it up a few days later. On his way home he felt a vibration and heard a weird noise around corners. Stopping to take a look he found that only one out of four lug nuts was finger tight, the rest were just barely on the threads on both wheels on the driver's side.
I'm not saying it would happen to everyone, but from my experience there is no way in hell I'd look to buy a car from them again.

First off, that shop is not a dealer, they import cars and sell them without a dealers license. That raises some flags there.
That car comes with no safety, no emissions, no warranty, no reconditioning etc.
For the price of $11,000, they probably bought it in Japan for around $5,000. That means it is most likely has extensive repair work from an accident, has engine issues, and has other mechanic or body problems.
Or who knows, it could be great, but are you willing to gamble on it?
We all know how much it costs to repair these cars, you might be able to buy it for $11,000, and spend another $10,000 fixing it.
They may be cheaper than RightDrive, but it's like comparing apples to oranges. RightDrive cars come with safety, emissions, warranties, HTA compliancy, full inspections, professional detailing and reconditioning. We don't let cars leave our lot until they are in a condition that the owner doesn't have to do anything to it.Last edited by Daryl @ RightDrive; 07-19-2011, 10:55 AM.RightDrive Inc. Parts Manager

Thanks for all the info. My main reason I look at such low priced car is because I'm in Nova scotia and here we never heard of e-test or air care (LOL) so I don't need it just a regular safety and I heards that most of the work for a 33 can be done by a motivated man in a matter of hours. I think I'll stay away from them by all the comment but hopefully I'll have my dream car for next summer.

I don't mean to sound like a shameless advertisement here, but Right Drive has lots of experience with selling and delivering out of province. If budget is not an issue I wouldn't look anywhere else but Right Drive. If your tight for funds be very careful with buying out of province as there are lots of people who are waiting for the right fool to buy their can of worms without opening it up first.

I test drove a r33 MNP last year from there , it had something wrong with the back end , bad bushings etc because there was clunking and it just falt vague on cornering , I was told it was because it still had its hicas , was recommened that when i buy it use a hicas lockout and that would go away.
My rightdrive r33 still has its hicas and it doesnt clunk and it's pretty tight around corners ... draw your own conclusions ..
