  • My solution to left hand turns at intersections

Went to Crappy Tire and picked up a pair of medium sized convex mirrors. The one you want is the one with the tilting function so once its stuck to the a-pillar it can be adjusted to suit your eyes. Oncoming cars will show on the right side of the mirror, and it will take a bit of getting used to but is effective.

$8.99 and you get a spare lol.

Nice! I bought one of those Krugozor mirrors off of Frankiman. It works great, although a lot bigger than this! This is a great alternative!

        That's a nice one!

I always drive when my gf is around anyways so I always ask her to look.

I told her to be 110% sure!

Sweet I'll have to pick up a pair next time I'm at Crappy Tire. Thanks for the tip JZ!

Good idea. My friend told me to buy one of those back-up license plate cameras and mount it in the left fog light duct, but this is a lot cheaper!

That's ingenuity. Small and compact. Better go grab myself one.

Here's another solution: research has shown that's it's more fuel efficient to always turn right and find alternative routes by always turning right.

                      So just stop turning left.

Haha, saw your pic on FB. Great idea, a little less cluttered than frankiman's mirrors.

Nice idea, or do like I did and move to Japan! Left turns are pretty easy to do here! And we have those convex mirrors at most intersection corners, letting you see the cars coming both ways. It's pretty handy and clever! Too bad Canada didn't think of that one yet!

^ I saw some of those convex mirrors in Edmonton, the capital of photo radar, mainly on merges coming onto bridges.

afaik, we've only got the one like that on the high level bridge.
