nice try! but with simple bolt ons realistically gtrs are selling for 9-11k maybe even cheaper. just because they are for sale for 15k doesnt mean they ever sell. there are multiple bnr32s for sale right now with owners asking ~10k im sure they will go for less then 9k

Very nice cars! The R34 is my most favorited Skyline.

When were you thinking of coming back? Unless you were thinking soon, Id say wait a few more years and bring your car with you once the ban is off 99 R34s.

Were Skyline's sold in Australia or did they have to import them every time? I know there's a lot there, but Iv only heard of people importing one they really want and located in Japan.

    Stay safe in that car!

Wingless R32's look better in my opinion...but R34's just have to have that nice OEM spoiler.

Bummer :l Would probably just end up picking up another R32 GTR for the time being if I were to move to Canada then!

    Hmm.. brings back memories!

I believe the 15 year rule still stands. The car can't be used on the streets, but I believe there is an S15 Silvia as previously mentioned that was brought in this way but is not street legal until 2014. That's based on a thread I read on another forum.

    Nice car though, and welcome!

I am actually born in Sydney, Australia

Welcome and nice car, you should post some pics of your past cars (especially the 94 V-Spec II).

Sorry, no exceptions on the 15 year rule if you want to drive it on the street. If you are ok having it track only then you could register it as a track car but you have to jump through a ton of legal hoops and it also means that it can never be a street car again. Check out the legalese section for futher details.

There is an exception for personal use something like 6 months but I don't know the exact details. Someone on this forum does. Best chance I would say is move to bc again cause that's where the cars usually land and immigrants from Asia , also because icbc has a monopoly they have to insure most if not all cars because you don't have any other choices.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thinks there is an s15 in bc that was brough in under that rule

Wow that's a lot cheaper than down here. You'd be looking at around $20,000 AUD (~$21,000CAD) locally.
Is there a process you have to go through to drive a RHD car? And say if I were to move back to Canada for work, would I be able to bring my 1999 R34 GT-R in as a personal import? I know you guys have a rule that only allows imports that are older than a certain age, but are there any exceptions?

Roughly how much does an R32 GTR with usual bolt ons (cat-back/intake etc) fetch over there?
