  • hello skyline ppls..... r33 s2 0r s1 help?

I have a 1995 SKYLINE GTST R33 apparently a S2? the front bumper i.e fog lights body kit all matches the s2 body style except there's no "airbags" and coil igniter is located on the coil cover. s2 doesn't have that. s2 body kit thats on my car is absolutely looks factory even my bcit auto teacher were saying there were no signs of body modification.

So, what do i have? s1 or s2? what can I look for that can give me a definitive answer weather its a s2 or s1? Cuz calling japan was painful and expensive..

was the airbags optional? did the earlier R33 GTST S2's come with coil igniters on the coil covers or all s2 ecu controlled igniters?

holy shiet nice info very much appreciated. The body kit on my car is definitively spec 2 and some 1 did a real good job doing the body to make it look like a spec2

hey looks like we got another series 2 gts25t in bc but not really!! Ive owned a series 1.5 and currently a 2

r33 did have a type m. it added that chin spoiler for series 2 and slightly bigger rotors..

          R32 T : 280mm x 26mm (single pot sumitomo caliper)
          R32 GTS-T (early) : 280mm x 26mm (single pot sumitomo caliper)
          R32 GTS-T type M : 280mm x 30mm (4 pot sumitomo caliper)
          R32 GTR : 296mm x 32mm (4 pot sumitomo caliper)
          R32 GTR V-Spec : 324mm x 30mm (4 pot brembo caliper)

          R34 GT : 296mm x 30mm (4 pot sumitomo caliper)
          R34 GTT : 310mm x 30mm (4 pot sumitomo caliper)
          R34 GTR : 324mm x 32mm (4 pot brembo caliper)
          Z33 NA : 324mm x 32mm (4 pot brembo caliper)
          Z32 NA : 280mm x 26mm (4 pot sumitomo caliper)
          Z32 TT : 280mm x 30mm (4 pot sumitomo caliper)
          S14, S15 : 280mm x 30mm (4 pot sumitomo caliper)
          -----------------------------------------------------------

Quote: "how do i tell the difference between the r33 gtr calipers and the r33 gts calipers? correct me if i'm wrong, but the gtr uses a 324mm rotor, where the gts has a 300mm rotor."

There are a couple of models to choose from.

          R33 GT base 4lug
          R33 GT-S base + has a 4 piston caliper
          R33 GT-S T same as above
          R33 GTS-T (Type-M) This is a large sumitomo caliper with a 310mm rotor
R33 GT-R base same as above but never seen one like this
          R33 GT-R Vspec - Brembo

          Series 2 started in 1996.
series 1.5 halfway through 1995 (passenger air bag standard, series 2 motor, series 2 wing)
          series 1 1993-1995

Series 2 exterior with aftermarket front spoiler/lip
